PushupAIPush-up training

PushupAI guide

Standard vs. narrow push-ups: how does PushupAI record them?

Start standard and narrow sessions from different training cards so each session stays in its own record type. Narrow mode gives conservative feedback based on arm position; complete the ready prompt before you count.

Start with the right card

Two modes, separate records

01

Standard push-ups

Start from the standard push-up card on the home screen. When the session ends, its count is kept with the standard training type instead of being mixed with narrow sessions.

02

Narrow push-ups

Start from the narrow push-up card. During setup and training, the app can conservatively reject clearly wide arm positions; it does not claim to prove one unique palm placement.

How a record is made

From choosing a mode to saving a session

  1. Choose the type for this set first. Open either the standard or narrow training card; the selected type defines that session.
  2. Fix the phone and wait for ready. Keep the phone in front of you with your head, shoulders, and torso visible, then use the on-screen setup feedback.
  3. Follow the count and correction cues. Both modes need a completed ready step. In narrow mode, adjust first when you see an arm-position cue.
  4. Start a new set to change types. Return to the home screen and choose the other training card for the next set so the categories stay clear.
